![]() ![]() There is only one download copy available. I noticed in the brief time it was on the screen that the business copy was installed. ![]() I then tried to "update" my 2016 to 2019 and all heck broke lose. In fact my 2016 renewed when I signed on with that version. I installed it on my test computer and it works I got 14 more months of Quicken. The CD came and it was an open box 14 month Amazon "exclusive" version. I found several Flee Bay sellers offering Quicken 2019 on a CD for under $20. Still I wan not going to pay $80 a year for Quicken. I even paid $40 for a never expires Money Dance none were user friendly. I really wanted to dump Quicken and tried several ways to do so. I have been using Quicken Premier 2016 and it was due to expire. I used to upgrade every year with the Quicken/TurboTax offer but this is not a bad deal. Mine runs out in February so I probably add on 14 months. You have to be within 6 months of your expiration or a new user. Amazon has Quicken deluxe for 14 months 29.99 right now. I also don't mind manual entry as I don't write a lot of checks, and it is sort of relaxing to me-paint by numbers. I worry about abandonment with these older school platforms like GNUCash, MoneyDance and Quicken-how long will they be around? I figured Quicken will last the longest, but of course that is a guess. I am starting to worry about these platforms as I see the young folk, who are not privacy freaks, are using Mint, Personal Capital and others. I was starting to worry with MS Money that one more Windows upgrade and I would be out of luck. ![]() The new Deluxe edition seems adequate for me, I have several checking accounts and H&W taxable accounts, 401Ks, and Roths. I think the only meaningful differences I saw where Billpay, support and Morningstar X-Ray on the Premier versus Deluxe. I just migrated from MS Money Sunset Edition to Deluxe. Now that you mention it, I don’t use BillPay, so I probably bought Deluxe. The only differences between Deluxe and Premier are Quicken BillPay (which I never used and wouldn't use) and "premier" support. Just like with TurboTax, the marketing of these products is very misleading. I use Deluxe, and have many investments and accounts. I use Premier, mostly because I have many investments and accounts.
